Frequently asked questions

Will my photos be uploaded anywhere?

No. Photos and videos stay entirely on your device. The app reads them locally to display each one, but never sends them to any server. See the privacy policy for full details.

If I swipe to delete, are my photos gone forever?

No — deletions in the app move photos to iOS’s Recently Deleted album, where they remain recoverable for 30 days. You can restore any photo from there during that window. After 30 days, iOS permanently removes them.

What does Premium unlock?

Unlimited swipes (the free tier includes the first 50 decisions), unlimited Undo to restore any past decision in your session, and the ability to share photos directly from the swipe interface. Premium is available as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → tap Swipe Photos CleanupCancel Subscription. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep Premium access until then.

I bought Premium on another device. How do I restore it?

Tap the paywall in the app, then tap Restore purchases at the bottom. As long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID that made the original purchase, your Premium access will be restored.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for the purchase. If you have trouble, email support@swipephotoscleanup.app and we’ll help.

Can I use the app without giving photo-library permission?

The app needs photo-library access to function — it has no photos to swipe through without it. iOS lets you grant access to all photos or selected photos. Either works; with selected access, you’ll only see the photos you’ve allowed.

What devices and iOS versions are supported?

iPhone running iOS 16 or later.
